Workshop:
Awaken the Feminine Divine in 2009

            Around the world, New Year’s Day is a time for self-reflection and starting anew.  This unique workshop for women 16 and older help you to re-awaken to your innermost nature and set your intentions for 2009.
            This workshop is a collaboration between 3 friends, the members of the al Haqiqah Bellydance Cooperative.  Our intention for the event is to create peace and deeper awareness within our community and the world.
            Shelley Dennis, MD and director of Open Lotus Life Consulting will lead us in a powerful centering and relaxation technique, and guide us through self-reflection and integration at the close of the workshop.
            Hilary Giovale, MLS and Tribal Style Bellydance instructor will share her reflections on how bellydance helps to energize the Divine Feminine within every woman, and she will lead us in a gentle bellydance class for all levels.
           Elizabeth Ruther, MS will use her background as a conservation ecologist to discuss the interconnectedness of the natural world and what lessons we can take from nature to increase personal awareness and self-acceptance.

Pillow, blanket, or yoga mat
A scarf for your hips (if you have one)
